Key Considerations

Plan the assignment carefully

01

What to submit

Complete documents, exact recipient, service address, deadline, method instructions, identifying details, reporting contact, and billing reference.

02

How status works

State who should receive updates and what events require immediate contact, such as a bad address, refusal, access problem, or approaching deadline.

03

How completion works

Specify whether proof should be returned electronically, mailed, picked up, or filed when filing is part of the agreed assignment.

04

How difficult serves are handled

Share prior attempts and all lawful identifying information. Additional attempts or research should be authorized before deadlines become critical.

Frequently Asked Questions

Attorney Process-Serving FAQ

Can your office determine the legal method for us?

No. Northeast Constables can discuss logistics, but the requesting attorney or party is responsible for the legal method, recipient, documents, and deadline.

Can you serve outside the listed towns?

Contact the office with the exact address. Coverage and lawful authority must be confirmed for each assignment.

Do you handle subpoenas?

Yes, subject to review of the subpoena, recipient, location, deadline, tender requirements, and instructions.

Do you handle registered-agent service?

Yes, when the entity, authorized recipient, address, and instructions are clearly identified and the assignment is within confirmed coverage.

Can you perform address research?

Skip-tracing support may be available. Research results are leads and should be evaluated with the assignment and governing requirements.

What should we do with a near deadline?

Call immediately, provide the exact deadline, and send a complete service-ready packet. Acceptance or an attempt does not guarantee completed service.
